REGISTERED MASSAGE therapy
Every body (and face!) will benefit from a massage.
Therapeutic massage is effectively used to treat a wide range of health conditions including occupational and posture related problems, sports injuries, stress reduction, pregnancy related issues, headaches, and circulatory/lymph and nerve conditions.
Suji is a Registered Massage Therapist registered with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC. British Columbia shares the highest standards and qualifications in the world for its RMTs.
healthy skin is beautiful skin
Massage therapy can positively impact skin health by enhancing blood circulation, promoting lymphatic drainage, and increasing oxygen and nutrient delivery to the skin — while promoting stress relief. This can lead to improved skin tone, reduced wrinkles, and overall healthier-looking skin.
Massage therapy dedicated to your face.
Massage therapy isn’t just self-care; it’s a sacred pause, a moment to honour both body and mind. Whether you’re unwinding from a busy week or simply craving stillness, massage offers a haven for relaxation, restoration, and inner calm.
More than just a luxury, massage therapy is a powerful tool for well-being. A registered massage therapist (RMT) skillfully manipulates soft tissues—including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue—using varying levels of pressure and movement. As part of integrative medicine, massage can support a wide range of health concerns from stress relief to pain management.
At Moon Wellness, we offer facial massage treatments to promote stress relief, address jaw pain and/or headaches, improve lymphatic drainage, improve circulation and overall skin health. Come recharge with us.
RECOVERy FROM PLASTIC SURGERY
Reduce swelling + fibrosis post-surgery
Cosmetic surgeries all produce swelling to some extent because it is part of the body’s normal healing process. Some cosmetic surgeries, such as liposuction and tummy tucks, disrupt the natural pathways taken by the lymphatic system because of the location of the surgery. Other regions of the body, such as the nose after rhinoplasty, produce swelling that can last for a long time—even up to one year. Other cosmetic procedures that impact the face can also produce months of swelling.
Manual lymphatic drainage or MLD massage was developed in the 1930s by Emil and Estrid Vodder and is widely prescribed by physicians in Europe, the United States and Canada.
Benefits of the Vodder Method
Through its gentle rhythmical precise hand movements, alleviates pain by greatly reducing the pain signals sent to the brain.
Relaxes the sympathetic nervous system, thus helping to relieve stress.
Supports and enhances the action of the immune system.
Helps the body to heal more quickly from surgical trauma.
Helps to minimize scar formation.
Brazilian lymphatic drainage
Gentle Detox, Noticeable Results
Experience the lightness and sculpted feel of Brazilian lymphatic drainage—a gentle, rhythmic massage technique designed to reduce abdominal bloating, stimulate circulation, and support your body’s natural detox process. This specialized treatment focuses on the abdominal area to encourage the movement of lymphatic fluid, helping to eliminate water retention, improve digestion, and promote a flatter, more defined midsection. Perfect for anyone seeking a lighter, more balanced feeling from the inside out.
